A New Addition

I have a new addition to my Nikon family. I finally got my new lens! I have been wanting this lens for so long and I finally got to hold the the big gold box in my hands. I didn’t realize how big this baby is. I’m going to have to do some curl ups to be able to hold it steady. I’m so glad it has vibration reduction but I can’t really rely on that too much. I love the pictures that I’m getting from this lens. It’s so crisp and clear, I’m not sure who’s having more fun trying it out me or Carson. I think I have an assistant in the making. Maybe this new addition will convince him to come out and shoot a wedding with me.

Next weekend I have my first wedding of the year and I’m excited to be able to use the lens there. I’m so nervous. I know it’s pretty normal to feel this way before a wedding but this feels like the first day of school. My last wedding was in September ( a month before I had Levi) and I’ve done family and portrait sessions since but this is different. The bride and groom are really cool and laid back so I know the “first day” back will be better than I’m anticipating.
