Brandon and Lisa’s wedding was my first wedding of the summer. I didn’t meet this beautiful couple until the day of wedding. I don’t usually do that but because Brandon and Lisa live in Vancouver we had to do all our communication through e-mails or over the phone. I have to admit I was quite nervous driving to the location because I had no idea who this couple were and what they would be like. I just prayed the whole way that we would get along and that the day would go smoothly. Well talk about prayers being answered. The moment I met Brandon and Lisa all my nervousness left. They are such a warm and friendly couple I knew it was going to be a fun day. They got married on the beach of a backyard right on one of Okanagan’s beautiful lakes. They had close friends and family from all over the country that it made for such an intimate and beautiful wedding day. Most of Brandon and Lisa’s family are from out east so I had a fun time talking to them about my old stomping grounds. ha! I even found out that I went to the same highschool as Lisa’s parents. Small world.

Brandon was quite emotional during the ceremony. He had a few people getting teary-eyed as well.
Brandon is a chef at a trendy restaurant in Vancouver and brought his entourage with him to cook for the reception. In keeping with the casual feel of the wedding they had a pig roast out in the back yard. The food looked as good as it tasted.
